Liverpool Agree to Emre Can Fee with Bayer Leverkusen

Liverpool announced this morning that the club has agreed to a deal in principal with Bayer Leverkusen to sign 20-year-old midfielder Emre Can. The deal has been in the works for weeks, but today the club announced that the player’s release clause had been met and the player is ready to  move to Anfield next season, but before officially making him a member of the squad the club needs to wait for the proper documentation to be completed to officially announce the midfielder’s arrival.

The Guardian reports the transfer price is £9.75 million and that the deal will be finished on July 1.

Fabio Borini Hopes to Stay With Liverpool

Fabio Borini is Brendan Rodgers’ first signing as Liverpool manager. He was a top-priority for Rodgers during the summer of 2012, after he was appointed, and the forward made it known he was determined to repay the manager’s faith by skipping the break he was allowed after taking part in the Euros that summer with Italy.

Things didn’t work out as planned for the former Chelsea youth player with Liverpool. Injuries hampered his first season and then he went out on loan last year. None of this has deterred the 23-year-old, though — not even the rumors that he could soon be leaving. Instead, Borini has said he is determined to make his mark on Liverpool and convince Rodgers he is a vital part of his squad.

Moreno Watch: Sevilla Will Let the Left Back Leave for the Right Price

Liverpool’s pursuit of Seville left back Alberto Moreno continues to move in the right direction for the Reds as Sevilla’s president has said players can leave the club this summer if they want.

Liverpool has reportedly put in a bid for Moreno last week and even included midfielder Suso as a makeweight in the deal, but nothing formal has been announced and Liverpool is still waiting to finalize a deal for the 21-year-old Spanish defender.

Report: Lallana Told Southampton to Let Him Go

The Adam Lallana saga continues to roll on. Reports say that the Southampton midfielder has told the club he wants to leave St. Mary’s for a new challenge, which presumably means he wants to jump ship and join Liverpool after the World Cup.

Liverpool made a ‘take it or leave it’ offer last week of £25 million last week and it seems like the 27-year-old midfielder is keen on trying to force a move to Anfield.

Southampton Throw Lallana Deal into Doubt with Statement

It felt like a forgone conclusion that Adam Lallana will join Liverpool, but as time has gone on the transfer has come into doubt. Liverpool submitted a “final offer” last week for the Southampton midfielder and, despite rumors that the player wants the move to happen, nothing has officially happened. Now, Southampton has released a statement putting the whole transfer into doubt with a statement saying the club does not have to sell the player for any reason.

Official word took some time, though. This morning Liverpool officially announced Rickie Lambert has signed a two-year deal with the club, completing the £4 million (plus add-ons) move from Southampton to his boyhood club.

Report: Reds Table Final Offer for Lallana

Liverpool is hoping their continued raid of Southampton continues. Up next on Liverpool’s radar is Adam Lallana, who is regarded to be one of Brendan Rodgers top transfer targets. The Reds have offered Southampton £25million for their club captain and hope he will follow Rickie Lambert to Anfield.

The Liverpool Echo reports that this is Liverpool’s final offer for the 26-year-old midfielder.
