Report: Liverpool Makes Moreno Bid

By Kevin Koczwara

Liverpool’s interest in Alberto Moreno is real. The club views him as the team’s future left back, a position that has had a carousel of players try and claim that spot. Today, James Pearce at the Liverpool Echo reports that Liverpool has finally handed an offer to Sevilla to secure the 21-year-old’s services.

Pearce claims the deal will include Spanish midfielder Susp going in the other direction as part of the deal.

Liverpool have made their move to try to secure the services of Alberto Moreno by tabling a £16million bid for the Sevilla left-back.

The Reds are also prepared to offer Spanish youngster Suso as a makeweight in the deal.

Pearce does not know if Suso’s move will be permanent or a loan deal. The 20-year-old midfielder enjoyed a fine season in La Liga while on loan at Almeria last year.

As for Moreno, the 21-year-old was an integral part of Sevilla’s Europe winning side. He is currently part of Spain’s 30-man provisional World Cup roster.
