Liverpool Names 34 Players to Squad for North American Tour

Luis Suarez and Sebastián Coates are on Uruguay’s Olympic team and will miss the trip — Suarez is one of three overage players on the team and its captain. Pepe Reina gets a few weeks rest after taking part in Spain’s Euro 2012 winning side.

Brendan Rodgers named 34 players to his roster. Notable absentee is the goalkeeper Doni. Lucas Leiva will make the journey, which is a good sign for the club as he tries to recover from injury, and so will the team’s latest signing Fabio Borini.

Here’s the complete list of players. The Red Letter will have a tour preview with a reflection on team selected by Rodgers soon.
