Liverpool travels to the Madejski Stadium on Saturday in a veritable No Man’s Land in the English Premier League table. There is no threat of relegation, but similarly – after last weekend’s disappointing 0-0 draw with West Ham at Anfield – there is little chance of breaking into the top five to land a European spot for next season.

Joe Cole Completes West Ham Move

Joe Cole has not had the easiest of times since joining Liverpool on a free transfer from Chelsea. The former England International had his contract expire at Chelsea and then Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson snapped up the midfielder as one of his marquee signings. It just didn’t work out for Cole — much like many of Hodgson’s signings — and now he has returned to his first club, West Ham United on a free transfer after Liverpool made a £3 million pay-off  to the player

Jose Enrique Out Six Weeks with Hamstring Injury

Liverpool full-back Jose Enrique will miss six weeks of action with a hamstring tear. Liverpool’s official site confirmed the Spaniard’s injury today, ahead of this weekend’s FA Cup match with Mansfield Town. Enrique suffered the injury in Liverpool’s 3-0 win over QPR on Dec. 30.
